SIGN SUPPORTS
601.26 GENERAL
Sign support dimensions shall be in accordance with Drawing Nos 8720-0657, 0330- 1686, 0330-1687 and 0330-1688 and the post schedules shown on the sign drawings.
CHS Posts now Approved for use in all regions
Circular Hollow Section (CHS) signposts must be secured using an approved fixing device as specified in Annexure 601G (ZERO WASTE Foundations)

ZERO WASTE FOUNDATIONS
Approved for securing signage, bollards and grabrails in soil, asphalt or paved areas.
​
As specified in Annexure 601G (Smart Taper - ZERO WASTE Foundations)are approved for use in locations where signs are frequently hit and for all removable signs on High-Wide Load corridor routes.

SIGN SUPPORTS
601.26 GENERAL
Removable Sign Posts are defined as sign posts which enables the posts to be removed and reinstated from their base with specially designed tools without damaging either the base or post, Removable sign posts shall be used, where specified, including all removable signs on High-Wide Load corridor routes.

As specified in Annexure 601G (Smart Taper - ZERO WASTE Foundations)are approved for use in locations where signs are frequently hit and the removable post design enables the post to be replaced using the existing footing.

ZERO WASTE GRABRAILS
Grab-rails can be secured using ZERO WASTE Foundations making them easily removable for maintenance and upgrades. Grab-rails remain perfectly aligned, zero damage zero waste for next 100 years.

Grabrails are installed 350 mm depth using ZERO WASTE Foundations. MRWA maintenance teams have removal tools

MRWA TRAFFIC BOLLARDS
Removable Bollards secured using ZERO WASTE Foundations . Bollards "automatically" lock into socket (no pins or padlocks) and can only be removed using tools provided (MRWA has tools)
Foundations remain in pristine condition year after year and damaged bollards are replaced quickly & efficiently from a standing position.​
